Located inside iconic Birmingham building The Cube, this Spa is a canal-side haven in the heart of the city.
Set on the lower levels of the building, The Spa has a series of perfectly-finished treatment rooms, a spa pool with a series of thermal suites, a dry floatation suite, salt halotherapy room, champagne nail bar, Rasul mud therapy suite and more... I particularly loved the members only canal side lounge, the perfect place for lunch between pampering sessions (I can recommend the chicken caesar salad).
You can visit the spa for a day and simply camp out by the pool and make the most of the steam room and saunas, but the treatments are well worth splashing out on if you're able to. Over the weekend, I tried the Deep Release Massage with Warm Lava Shells, (from £65), which involves being massaged with warm, smooth shells, which send heat penetrating deep into the muscles. Divine.
The Dry Floatation Experience (from £30) consists of being lowered into a warm, water filled mattress (you don't get wet), wrapped in towels, which simulates the feeling of being safe and warm in the womb. I defy you not to drift off. Finally, my favourite of the weekend: a Rasul Mud experience (from £89)...
After a weekend at TheClubAndSpa, I felt completely rejuvenated. You can tell how much thought has gone in to making the spa a truly relaxing experience, every step of your journey has been carefully planned to make you feel at ease, also the champagne nail bar looks gorgeous: the perfect location for a pre-hen-do pamper party. I'm already planning my next trip.
