Three young men have died after a crash in the Lee Valley, with another man seriously injured in hospital. Police are appealing for witnesses and information following the road traffic collision on Friday on the A10 between the Turnford and Hoddesdon junctions.

Police are appealing for witnesses and information following the road traffic collision on Friday on the A10 between the Turnford and Hoddesdon junctions.

A blue Vauxhall Corsa collided with a Mercedes Artic lorry around 2.15pm.

The driver and two passengers in the Corsa passed away at the scene and a third passenger has been taken to a London hospital with serious injuries.

The driver of the lorry was not injured.

A full closure was put in place on the carriageway in both directions while emergency services dealt with the incident.

Sergeant Colin Jenkinson of the Roads Policing Unit, said: "Three men have tragically died and one man has been seriously injured following this collision and we are providing support to their families at this difficult time.

"We are conducting a thorough investigation into the circumstances of the collision and are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident to get in contact as soon as possible.

"Perhaps you saw the vehicle just before the collision took place or maybe you saw something immediately after. Any information you provide could be crucial to our investigation."
