After over two years, with high hopes, Jermall Charlo is making his return to the ring on the 25th of November against Jose Benavidez Jr. However, Benavidez Jr. is confident that he will upset Charlo and show the world that he is the real champion at 160 lbs. Likewise, ahead of his second bout at Middleweight where Charlo holds a title, Jose announced he was feeling strong and motivated to “eat.”

On that note, speaking to Fight Hub TV, replying to Benavidez who plans to devour Charlo’s expectations inside the squared circle, ‘Hit Man’ claimed he was equally ready to prove his opponent wrong. In doing so, the WBC Middleweight title holder doubted if the bout would go the distance.

Jermall Charlo is ready to test Jose Benavidez Jr.’s “survival skills”

Ahead of the bout, Charlo is confident he will confront Benavidez Jr. with something the latter has not seen. And although Benavidez Jr. believes he can hand Charlo his first professional defeat, the latter assured the fans that he will bring everything necessary to win the fight. “I’m not here to protect him either. So, when he gets in there with me, he’ll find out that the adjustments that he got to make are going to be something that he’s never seen before. And I’ll be fast, I’ll be strong, I’ll be ready. I’m here to fight; not coming to lose,” Charlo said.

In this context, Charlo expressed that although he doubted the fight would go the distance, he was prepared to fight Jose for 10 rounds. “If the fight goes 10 rounds, that’s good because I haven’t been in a ring in a while. So, if it goes 10 rounds, he did his job at perfecting surviving. Because I’m coming to hunt,” declared Charlo.

“I doubt it will go the whole 10 rounds. But, if it does I’m cool with that too. Y’all got a chance to see me back again,” added ‘Hit Man’ who plans to face the likes of Jake Paul in 2024. At this, while Charlo wishes to test Jose’s survival skills, the latter declares he is second to none at Middleweight.

Jose Benavidez promises a “good show” where he’ll disclose his “real” abilities

According to Benavidez, who is a “scrub” in Jermall’s words, ‘El Phoenix’ is complete at 160 lbs. As per his statements, at Middleweight, he can finally feel his main strength. Likewise, he declared, “At this weight, I feel strong. I’m really motivated and I wanna get this show on the road. I’mma give the people a good show, that’s for sure.”
