A couple of weeks ago, Ramy shocked everyone by withdrawing from this year’s competition.

The 39-year-old bodybuilder said that, in 2022, because of multiple injuries, he couldn’t perform his best on stage. As a result, he didn’t win and ended up in fifth place. The same thing happened earlier this year at the Arnold Classic, where he also couldn’t secure first place.

Nonetheless, the bodybuilding community was hoping he would surprise everybody with his progress. Indeed, astounded everyone with the announcement of not competing this year. However, he said he would be back for next year if the circumstances were in his favor.

The break from the sport might take away his competitive spirit.
